Chasity Coons – A Portals Spotlight On Self-Employment
Updated: Feb 28
The moment you meet Chasity, you know that the world is a better place with her around. She has this infectious smile and is always wanting to help others, whether it’s raising money for a family member struggling, or helping her clients feel better through one of her services.
Chasity started Angel Care Massage & Bodywork in 2017. While it was recent that the business began, the roots and inspiration for the business go all the way back to high school. Chasity remembers, “When I was in high school my mom said I could have a treat if I brought my grades up. We settled on a massage and I knew I wanted to make people feel the way I did that day.”
About working with Portals, Chasity says, “In the early stages of our plan development, they helped me understand what I wanted to do with the business and where I wanted to go with it.”
When asked what advice she would give other self-employment seekers, Chasity says “be open and honest about your goals for your business. Also be open to constructive criticism, because both Vocational Rehabilitation and Portals are there to help you.
If you happen to be in the Greensburg Indiana area and are in need of a massage or other great service provided (craniosacral therapy, lymph drainage, aromatherapy, chair massage), give Chasity a call or visit her website to schedule an appointment. You can also find more information for Angel Care Massage & Bodywork on her Facebook page.
