Our Response To The Coronavirus COVID-19 Pandemic
To our Wonderful Partners:
In a continued commitment to the health and safety of our clients, our staff, and our families during this Coronavirus Pandemic, Portals LLC is enacting the following guidance effective:
Monday, March 23, 2020 until Friday, April 10, 2020
Home Modification– During this time, Portals LLC will continue taking new HME referrals for evaluations, but not initiate till after April 10th. HME jobs that require in-home inspections will be handled on a case by case basis.
Purchasing– Portals LLC is able to fulfill our end of purchasing arrangements, but we want clients and counselors to know the shipping times for each online vendor is on the rise. Some stores are also changing hours which can have an effect on our availability to buy gift cards in a timely manner. If issues occur, we will notify the client and counselor as they come up.
Self-Employment and Client Meetings– Portals foresees little impact to our clients currently navigating the self-employment program. We will continue communication with them to keep their businesses moving forward. Client interaction will be done via electronic methods unless it is an emergency situation. If an in-person meeting is requested and Portals LLC is able to meet, we will use new guidelines before the meeting occurs:
At time of meeting coordination, Portals LLC staff will conduct a brief health screening of the client to ensure their health and the health of anyone close to them. If anyone is suspected of having any flu like symptoms, we will not schedule an in-person meeting at that time. We will encourage the client to use other means of communication such as phone call, Facetime, and Zoom.
On the day of the meeting, Portals LLC staff will call the client to verify that their health and the health of those around them are good prior to attending the meeting.
Before and after the in-person meeting, Portals LLC staff will be disinfecting our hands and wearing masks for the entirety of the meeting to help prevent the spread of any possible virus.
